Marc By Marc Jacobs - Petal to the Metal Natasha Bag

Before my trip to NYC, I was on the hunt for a new crossbody bag. I wanted a stylish bag with multiple pockets that would also be comfortable to use, while traveling. I wanted a bag that was durable to carry many items, while at the same time adding more to my outfit.   So by pure luck, when I was shopping at Holt Renfrew with a friend before my trip,  I stumbled upon this beauty to the right. This Marc By Marc Jacobs bag was the prefect bag for my trip. After using this bag during my  trip to the big apple, I can understand why this bag is one of Marc Jacobs popular choice among fashionistas! First and foremost, the material is durable and it has many hidden compartments. So I was able to carry my passport and feel safe that I was not going to misplace it.  In addition, I felt my bag was always organized because the multiple compartments allowed me to store items in specific pockets. The strap was adjustable and also comfortable. So my shoulders were not aching after the endless hours of walking/ sightseeing. Lastly, the colours for this purse were beautiful. Each season this purse is released in colours that reflect that season. I went with the nude colour as this was a nice choice for a summer retreat. Without a doubt, traveling with this purse made me feel and look good!

Paris Shopping - Post Seven - Khakis Pants

Can you believe the holidays are just around the corner? The last time I wrote a post, the leaves were changing colour and Starbucks was still serving pumpkin spice latte. Now, houses are lit up and the red holiday cups are back at my nearby Starbucks. Heck, Christmas music is playing non stop everywhere too. I love this time of year. Why? Because I love snow! It is beautiful and romantic. (So if there is anyone out there listening...I am hoping and dreaming for a white Christmas!! Pretty Please!!!) Plus, the holiday festivals that occur around my city are fun too! As promised, this is my last post about my shopping spree in Paris! So I will make this entry brief. I have never been a fan of wearing khakis pants. I feared the possibility of sitting somewhere and getting them dirty. However, I overcame my fear and bought a pair, while shopping at Paris' Bazaar de l'Hotel de Ville. In this department store, the women's section was divided and organized by brands. It reminded me of Bloomingdale's or The Bay or a Sears. Anyways I bought a pair of rolled up khakis, which allows me to tuck in my shirt. I can't wait to wear them next Spring or Summer and pull off the preppy sailing look.

PS. In August, I went back to NYC for a few days with a good friend. I had an amazing time and shopped a lot too! So stay tune as I blog more this week about the items I bought in NYC! Cheers friends!

Paris Shopping - Post Six - Yves Saint Laurent - Wallet

So since my last post, the leaves have been changing beautifully around my city. I love autumn! The fresh crisp air, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice latte, and well fall fashion too! Regardless, sorry for my lack of blogging. I promise I  have a lot of things to blog about, but for now I need to finish blogging about my shopping in France. So here is the second last post about France. As previously mentioned, Galeries Lafayette is one of the best department stores in Paris.  It was gorgeous and it had everything!  However, little did I know, right beside Galeries Lafayette was an even more spectacular department store! Printemps is the equivalency to our Holt Renfrew here in Canada, but better! The designer boutiques were just amazing in there!! Anyhow I went to the YSL boutique and I bought myself a wallet. It is in a classic colour beige and it matches with my speedy quite nicely. It is very simple, but yet very chic! Boy, do I miss Paris......

Paris Shopping - Post Five - Promod - Pants and Dress

Bonjour!!

I have to admit I have been too cool for my blog. I am only kidding! I actually have been working non stop lately! My work week consists of six days of work and one day of play! However do not worry!! I still have been shopping non stop on the side!

So when I went to Paris this past spring, it was a dream come true! Aside from learning more about the Parisian culture, I was surrounded my French/European clothing brands! So here comes Promod. It is a woman's fashion store that sells clothing pieces at moderate prices. I think Promod can be categorized with stores such as Zara and Mango.

I bought two items from this store. I bought a pair of coral pants (which I have worn many times!) and a beige dress. I fell in love with the beige dress because it reminded me of a dress women would wear in the roaring 20s. As for the orange pants, coral seemed like the in colour of the moment in France. So I had to buy a pair! Nothing beats adding another bright colour of pants to your pantalon collection! :)

Paris Shopping - Post Four - Louis Vuitton - Speedy 30

So when I was strolling along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées during my trip, I was in a shopping coma! Designers, cafes, flagship stores were everywhere! Louis Vuitton a popular French fashion house, of course had its flagship store there! To get into the store, you had to line up, but it was worth the wait! I do recall it was the only fashion house with a line up to get inside to. Anyhow I only waited for ten minutes and when you get inside you feel like a kid in a candy store!!! I believe the store itself has seven floors, but I only went to two. The window designs are often changed with current trends and the shopping experience is quite cool too. You have to wait for someone to assist you, but when they do, they give you the best attention ever! I have always been a fan of Louis Vuitton, but I was never able to buy a bag when I was still a student. Heck my parents would never buy me one. So of course when in France, I had to buy a purse from Louis Vuitton!! I have always wanted the speedy because it is a classic. Yes, I know everyone has one, but how can you not resit to buy one? I went for the Speedy 30 in the monogram canvas and it suits my every day life! It looks too pretty and I can fit everything in there! Now I wonder what will my next Louis Vuitton purchase be.....hmmm.

Paris Shopping - Post Three - Chanel - Rouge Coco Shine

When one visits France, one must bring home something from Chanel! Ideally a purse, but for me it was a beautiful lipstick! More specifically, I bought a hydrating sheer lipshine that I can wear every day! The colour is called antigone and it looks like a raspberry shade. It certainly adds a nice tint to my lips. The best part about this purchase was where I bought it. I bought it at Galeries Lafayette. Basically: shopping heaven! Galeries Lafayette is one of the best department stores in Paris! The building itself was gorgeous! There were eight floors of anything you can possibly dream of and three buildings that made up this department store. The ceiling in the main building was just stunning! It was a wonderful sight to see, while shopping. However, the downside were the crowds/lack of washrooms. Regardless, when I go back to Paris, I will definitely drop more mulla there! Can't wait to go back! :)

Paris Shopping - Post Two - Farasion Loafers

One day during my trip, I was exploring the neighborhood of St-Germain-De-Prés. It was the first time I truly felt like I was in a traditional French neighborhood. There were markets, local stores, and Parisians going about their every day lives. There were hardly any tourists. By luck, I came across this store called cote a cote. I believe it is a independent store that sells local products at reasonable prices. So I was looking around their shoe department and I somehow saw these beauties! These loafers came in every possible colour; white, pink, yellow, orange, etc. I almost bought the orange or baby pink ones, but I went with the tan ones! I swear, loafers are so comfortable and I love the look it gives to any outfit. Anyways, I have no idea about the brand Farasion and its origin. Who knows, maybe it isn't a French brand! LOL! Regardless, I love my new shoes :)
